Get touch from God – Rodney Howard Browne

In one evening I was volunteering in the phone center. There was a call from lady from Canada. Her prayer request was – get touch from God. I preyed with her and she stared to speak in tongues and became joyful. Then lady said – ”O, now I’m so happy, lets pray for my friend too.” I did not new, that she had her friend on other line. Then lady said that she just get her friend saved and asked me to pray for baptizing in Holy Spirit for her friend too. Now all three together we started our prayer. I can not confirm baptism in Holy Spirit of this second lady but she was touched by God and was joyful. –Gerda D.

The Great Awakening here in Tampa – Rodney Howard Browne

The Great Awakening here in Tampa has been awesome! We are seeing people get saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit. It was my first time doing the phone ministry and it was unbelievable. There were many calls, one right after the other, and the people calling were so hungry for God. One woman called and I greeted her and asked her what I could pray with her about. She simply stated, “I want to rededicate my life to Jesus and I want to be healed.” Well, she meant business with God and there was nothing that was going to get in her way. I did the Gospel Scripture card with her and she rededicated her life to Jesus! She told me she had a pinched nerve in her back. So, I literally just read the phone script for healing, which are a few healing scriptures and a simple prayer. I read it verbatim and after I prayed I asked, “How do you feel now?” She says, “Well, fine. How would I know I was healed?” I said, “Do something you couldn’t do before.” She said, “Okay, I couldn’t stand up without a lot of pain, so let me get up here. Hang on.” Suddenly she began to holler and scream ‘Hallelujah!’ I began to praise Jesus for healing her! She said she had to sleep with two heating pads every night and that she couldn’t stand up without much pain. Following, she said, “I just stood up and I have NO PAIN!!!!! Jesus healed me!!!!” So in a matter of minutes, she rededicated her life to Christ and was healed in her body. Pain Jesus, He is that amazing. –Lauren P.

Twenty One Reasons We Know That We Know The Lord – Part Three by Rodney Howard Browne

We know we know the Lord because:

12. We are born again

“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His
commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the
victory that has overcome the world — our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood — Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears
witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:1-13 NKJV

If we know God personally, the evidence is that we are truly born again and we manifest the characteristics of someone born of God; especially that we walk in the love of God. The old sin nature died – ceased to exist – and we became a new creature; alive unto God. We have eternal life now; it’s not just a future thing. He became like us so we could become like Him. If we truly know God, His life is living in us and His nature and character are manifested through us. If we know Him, we can’t help but be like Him.

13. We walk in righteousness

“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” 1 John 2:29 NKJV

“Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.” 1 John 3:7-10 NKJV

Righteousness is the hallmark of a Christian – the evidence you are really born again. Those who claim to know God, but practice sin and unrighteousness are liars. If you are born of God, you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you have been delivered from the power of sin. That does not mean that you will never sin or that you are not able to sin, but that you now have the will and desire to walk in righteousness and the power of the Holy Spirit at your disposal to help you to do it. You choose to submit yourself to the Word of God to obey His commands. You make the choice to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” 1 John 3:9 NKJV

“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” 1 John 5:18 NKJV

“Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5:1-5 NKJV

14. We purify ourselves

“And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3 NKJV

Righteousness is the hallmark of a Christian – the evidence you are really born again. Those who claim to know God, but practice sin and unrighteousness are liars. If you are born of God, you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and you have been delivered from the power of sin. “And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3 NKJV

The child of God, who knows God, makes a concerted effort to lay sin aside and walk in purity and holiness, because he/she knows that God is pure and only the pure in heart will see Him (Psalms 24:3-4a).

We know we know the Lord because:

Minister’s Conference 2010 – Sandra J. Testimony

Ministers’ conference was a very powerful time in my life. I was stretched In about fifty different directions and grew in a ton of different ways, however the time that grew me the most was the last two nights. Pastor Phil Smithers from overland missions was preaching on having that burning within you for the nations, and I could literally feel the fire within’ me begin to grow. I felt like deep within me I was being branded , and it hurt, but it was also amazing, because as we all know, when you get branded, that sign stays and can never come off.

Growing is often painful in the physical body, so spiritual growing can often have a similar effect in my experience, but when the pain is gone, and all that’s left is that burning desire it’s so worth the struggles. The last night I was seeking God intensely, asking Him where I would go, what was going on with my life and what’s going to happen, I was desperate for answers and God simply said this through the Holy Spirit in a very still, small, but clear voice. “You will go to the outermost parts of the earth, and where you go I AM with you, and lives will be changed and there will be such a freedom as you have never known and everywhere you go, which will be many places, will be changed, have peace these things will come to pass”.

I was thoroughly amazed at the wisdom of God, and also very happy that I could clearly and honestly hear his voice. For years I had heard God’s voice through pastors, ministers and preachers, but for one of the first times, it was just Him and I.

Minister’s Conference 2010 – Jerry B. Testimony

The 2010 Minister’s Conference has been one of the greatest blessings to my life!  As a first year River Bible Institute student I have had to go through severe trials and testings just to get down to Tampa and begin my studies.  The conference was like a right now word from the Holy Ghost to, “Stay focused, trust in the Lord, and hold on to the dreams He’s placed in your heart!”

The presence of the Lord was so strong in every service.  You did not want to miss a single one because of the expectation of hearing what the Lord has in store for our lives individually, and as a nation.  The theme of “no limits, no boundaries” let me know that the Lord has only good in store for His people in both the immediate and distant futures.  This was a very refreshing message at a time when only bad reports are streaming in from all sources of the media.

It seemed like every scripture that I had been studying recently was referenced during the conference, and all the speakers seemed to flow together as if they had collaborated ahead of time.  Knowing that they had not organized their speaking subjects just made it more evident that the Lord is in total control of all of this world’s affairs, and that He is not taken surprise by any of the events that seem to have all of America buzzing.

Coming out of the conference, not only do I have a better understanding of the physical Presence of the Lord, but I am left with a mental peace that lets me know that the Lord is not about to forsake His people in this land.  That no matter how turbulent things make get all around us, there is a secret place that the Lord has for all of those who are willing to take Him at His Word and rest in the fact that He alone is God.

Rodney Howard Browne – Erica E. Testimony

I am now at the beginning of my fifth month as an intern in youth and children’s ministries. There is so much involved with both areas. This week in particular has taught me so much about managing my time effectively. When we ask God to enlarge our territory like in Isaiah 54:2, He takes us up on it. A couple of weeks ago I had a paper due and I found out that I was going to be traveling with the Great Awakening Tour for an unspecified amount of time. I made sure that I had my paper done before I left.

This week however has been a little harder. I have to have 3 lesson plans made up for our children’s department because we have a conference next week. I do love making lesson plans. Then I received an assignment for school. Now we are switching curriculums for our Sunday morning children’s services and I have to study the message and train others in the new system. For youth, I’ve been put over worship because our leader stepped down and we’ve started a discipleship program with our youth which requires more one on one time being spent with them. Hallelujah! God took me at my request!

With the children in particular, it is so important to not water the Word down. There are many Christian programs that are out now that hint at Bible themes and lessons and never really get to the heart of the story. Society tells us that children aren’t prepared to handle the truths of life, but they live in the real world just like we do. They are tempted and situations arise that they need the truth about. We have done them a disservice if we don’t give them the real truth of the Word. These are lessons I couldn’t have learned volunteering once a month with the children.

Internship Testimony

Time moves fast; Jesus will return before we know it. Will I be ready? Will I have finished all that my Lord has called me to do; or will I be full of excuses? These are questions I have asked myself and perhaps you have too.

I’m a third year student at the River Bible Institute which makes me an intern. Once you are accepted as an intern your first and foremost duty is to stomp on your flesh. It wants to puff up, strut around and say, “Look at me, I’m something!” Get down, men and women, and hit your knees; pray and thank Jesus for the wonderful opportunity to serve in His house! Ask Him how He wants you to serve and then be obedient to the calling the Holy Ghost has placed on the inside of you for this season. If your question for now is why, Jesus will give you an answer.

Let me share a story about my own adventure. Back in August of 2008, I came here to attend the River Bible Institute for one year. I know the Lord called me to go to school and it was a very exciting move.  During our first week we were asked to fill out a form for the Ministry of Helps Department. It said to pick three places you would like to serve so I did. 1. Hospitality   2. Usher  3. Cloth Lady.

These areas seemed easy for me. I have always worked in restaurants so hospitality comes easy for me. I’ve seen the ushers at our church back home every Sunday and it seemed like a simple enough job that I felt I could handle; and I figured the cloth lady meant they needed help in the laundry department folding tablecloths, napkins, and etc. Being a mom of two, I thought I had plenty of experience for that. It’s funny when I look back now but who would have known, I sure didn’t. I came from a church where people fell down but courtesy cloths weren’t required.

Never the less, God had a different plan of where I was to serve Him that year. I received a phone call from Tara, the lady who ran the Ministry of Helps program. She said, “Beverly, I know you didn’t request this helps area, but I really feel the Lord is telling me to put you in Production to run a camera.” I first laughed and said, “Sure, ok I’ll try it but it’s something I have never considered or ever done before. Heck, I just got my first cell phone a few months back I’m 49 years old.” We laughed together and she encouraged me and we prayed. That following Sunday I was sitting behind Camera #2 with a man named Fred standing behind me explaining how it works. I ran that camera faithfully for the next 9 months. As school was coming to an end that year, the Lord laid it on my heart that I was to stay and go a second year. Little did I know they would be offering a broadcasting class in January of 2010! At first, I was just excited and wanted to take the class because I wanted a deeper understanding of cameras and how they worked. I got to be a part of some great projects and learned many different aspects of a production studio. We learned how not only to shoot a piece of film, but also to edit, cut, and put it together to show a 30 second spot for broadcasting. The broadcasting class was being offered by invitation only and what an honor to be asked to join the class. I was faced with being puffed up with pride and had to tell myself to “get down you bad flesh” and hit my knees and cried out, “Lord is this what You want me to do? Should I take this class?” The Holy Spirit said yes, so I let Dean Todd know.

I accepted and was a part of the production class. Now it was fun and more involvement in projects that were to be used on the network and internet. I was having fun and the question was being asked of us second year students if the Lord was putting on anyone’s heart for a third year or internship. Gee, I hadn’t even asked, so I started praying about it. Unlike second year, a willingness to do third year came. However there was not an assurance of what to do or how to serve as a third year intern. The Lord once again placed production in my heart. At first of course, I was full of questions and my first step was to ask Buddy, the head of the Production Department if he would like an intern and if so, could I put in to be his intern? Buddy said yes then I asked Dean Todd if interns were allowed to serve in the production area and he smiled and said yes. So with great excitement in my heart I said, “Yes, I would like to apply for internship for the 2010-2011 school year.”

Later it hit me and I started asking, “Lord, why? You called me many years ago to be a missionary. Why have you placed on my heart all this production stuff? Are You changing my calling? What does this mean?” Not only did the Holy Spirit tell me, but He gave me a picture of two hands coming together with the fingers intermingling and said, “I will take you and you will film things others have never seen before.”

So today, August 26, 2010, I am a production intern learning how to flow in the Holy Spirit and capture the anointing on film and send it across the airwaves into your homes. No excuses! I’m doing what the Lord has called me to do right now. He’s coming back soon!

Rodney Howard Browne – Julie C. Testimony

Last year at this time, I was devastated by the news that my niece had a baby out of wedlock, and also because of the way in which I had been told the news by my mom, which was on a recycled Christmas card from the year before, the leftovers, and she had written the great news that my niece, her boyfriend and the new baby were coming over on Christmas day. I got the card of December 26th in the mail. It was meant to sting. I was just as devastated over her attitude and ill will. Well, this year is different. My cousin, who is a pastor in Arizona, and his wife, their daughter had a baby last September, and they were thrilled. So now I have a picture on a Christmas card of the parents, who are married, and their new baby. I looked at that picture and I just thanked God that, at last, in our family, there’s something done right and it wasn’t messed up. Thank you so much for praying for me, that God would show me good things and better days. Thank You, God! The baby’s name is Samuel.

God is awesome! I had the honor of having six youth from Desert Rose Church on my team yesterday along with two other adults-all of them were out for the first time on the streets of downtown Glendale.  The youth were ages 8 to 14.  They all led several people to Jesus. Little Victoria, age 10, led a heavily tattooed biker to Jesus.  After he prayed to receive Jesus, he said he had not to church in so tears+thanks her several times. We invited to the meetings at one of the local churches. He said he would come. I had a hard time “choking” back tears as she was sharing the incorruptible word of good news of Jesus. Hallelujah!

Rodney Howard Browne – Belinda W. Testimony

She and her 4 kids went soul winning.  They met 2 young men-they said after they got saved “I always wanted to do that!”  Divine appointment!!!

I went out with Jake Thursday and Friday.  I led approximately 100 people to the Lord in the last 2 days this week.  23 were Native Americans in a park.  I was able to pray at a Baptist youth concert at Arizona State Fair  Friday.  I was on stage and 46 prayed the prayer.  I also prayed with football teams at a nearby school.

(first time on the streets) Steve got out of Skyway and handed cell phone to Latrina to talk to his friend Shrek. (Muslim) Latrine led him to the Lord before we even left the parking lot and he received Jesus!  Also led Arizona police officer (off duty) to receive Jesus.

There was a group of four people.  I saw them so I went over to them and I read the first part of the script.  They said they were Christians.  So I asked if I could pray for them and rededicate their life to Christ Jesus.  They said yes so I prayed with them and got 4 rededications and 1 salvation.

(14 yrs old)When I was leading someone to Jesus, they said “I don’t want to mess up.”  So I replied “we all sin and mess up.”  Then I gave her two examples about me and someone else.  Her name was Shera.  I led 12 people to Christ.
